There is TMI, and then there is the TMI of trying to conceive, when you just start chattering about all kinds of things you NEVER thought you'd share.

Here goes: I am using the Clear Plan fertility monitor to get a handle on exactly when I'm ovulating. Basically, you click this box every morning, and then some mornings it asks you to pee on a stick and stick it in the box. The instruction are adamant that you MUST use the First Urine of the Morning.

So here's what I want to know: Suppose you go to bed at midnight, and then the cat wakes you up at 2 (because the cat has a habit of poking you in the neck with a claw until you stagger out of bed and escort the cat to the bathroom and stand there while the cat drinks out of the sink. You're not sure why the cat does this -- whether he needs a bodyguard against the other cats lying in wait outside the bathroom door, or just doesn't like to drink alone), and once you're in the bathroom with the cat, you pee, and then you go back to bed and the cat wakes you up AGAIN, at 6, and you escort him to the bathroom and pee again, and then at 7:20 you actually get up for real. If you're peeing at 2 and again at 6, which is the First Urine of the Morning? I tend to think 6, because 2 seems more like the Last Urine of the Night Before, but I'm just not sure. I would welcome advice from anyone out there familiar with this gadget and/or the relationship between sleep and renal function and lutein.
