RM was flipping channels and watched a couple minutes of a program on the engineering of Rome. Who should be the professorial talking head but Peter Weller, of Syracuse University -- yes, *that* Peter Weller: Robocop. A bit of googling revealed that PW got interested in Italian art history and took a couple courses, and next thing you know he had a master's. So now he's teaching at Syracuse while he works toward his Ph.D. He's in his 50s, he's still working steadily as an actor and a director, and oh, by the way, he's a grad student. Just cause, you know, he really likes Roman and Renaissance art. For some reason I think that's really cool.
