We had a really wonderful anniversary: slept in, checked out a movie (Hitchhikers, about which more later), went to a barbecue and saw friends we don't see often enough, and then had dinner at the restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner.
Hitchhikers was disappointing, but I'm not sure it was the movie's fault. I read the book probably 20 years ago, and I remember thinking it was hilarious. I went to the movie expecting to find it equally hilarious -- and there were some very funny moments, but fewer and further between than I expected. But I can't say whether that's because the movie is inferior to the book, or because the book isn't as funny as I remember it being. I really need to find it and reread it, I think.
