Saw Starsky and Hutch. Of course it plays the duo for laughs, which will definitely irritate serious fans, and I've already been informed of some of the more serious departures from television canon, but (not having been sucked into that particular fandom), I enjoyed it. In fact, in some ways I think I would've enjoyed it *more* if I were a more dedicated S&H fan -- I spotted a few recreations of scenes I've seen in vids, and I'm betting there were many more allusions to the original that went over my head. They work the slash angle mighty hard, too. And I find Owen Wilson so darn charming. *And* CGU and I are the right age range to appreciate some of the wonderful period details (rainbow suspenders, anyone?).
