May. 27th, 2007 09:13 pmRM and I went to Balticon today, basically just so we could check out the dealer's room. (Yep, that's right, we paid an admission fee to *shop*.) We parked way off in a distant corner of the parking lot, but as I said to RM, we’re healthy young adults.
"Well, I'm a healthy adult, maybe," he said. "Actually -- well, actually none of those." ('Cause you know, he'll be 38 in a couple weeks, and the allergies have really been kicking his ass this spring.)
We decided he's an ailing mature adolescent. (And if you're wondering how someone can be a mature adolescent? You obviously haven't met him.)
They misprinted his badge at the con -- instead of saying "HAPPYMEAL," it said "HAPPYMEAN," which made us laugh.
Tonight we're watching First Blood (the first in the Rambo trilogy). RM was surprised I'd never seen it; I was surprised to learn it's set in the Pacific Northwest. I always thought it was set in Vietnam (apparently that's the sequel). David Caruso has a minor role, and it's kinda fun to watch him actually *acting*, without any of his CSI mannerisms.
