Jul. 11th, 2005 10:29 pmI've been meaning to post for *days*, but I got bogged down in a long post about War of the Worlds -- which I liked, not so much for the acting or the story or whatever, but because I got really into comparing-and-contrasting it with Independence Day. Someday I will post the long post about those two movies, but in the meantime:
-- we've got a board meeting going on, and yesterday this *stately* woman who's the wife of a retired general was complaining about how they arrived at 3 pm and their luggage didn't arrive until 3 am, "and by then I'd already washed out my panties." Ack. "Panties" and board member spouses are like ammonia and clorox.
-- I liked Fantastic Four, except I didn't like how they resolved the romance. Really, if I weren't a non-writing slasher, it would make me want to write het. Really. Oh, and I think Dr. Doom needed to be more bad.
-- I've been reading SG:A off and on, and people kept trying to get me to watch it, and I dragged my feet, because the Rodney in my head looked nothing like the TV Rodney, and I wasn't sure I'd like the TV Rodney. But finally I succumbed, and my fears were unfounded, and I have now been sucked in by this fandom. And there's lots of good writing, woo-hoo!
