how much of a geek am I?
Jun. 28th, 2004 12:30 pmSo CGU and I spent our Saturday night watching "Wrong Turn," the Eliza Dushku movie about a bunch of young people stranded in West Virginia at the mercy of "redneck inbred cannibals." And it was about as good as you'd expect a movie that boasts of redneck inbred cannibals to be. They did a really nice job of building suspense, and no one in it was actively bad. And another nice thing: living in a densely populated urban area, you can watch a movie like that and go straight to bed with no fear that R.I.C.s will come knocking in the night.
But the *real* super-geeky highlight for me was watching the behind-the-scenes featurette on the DVD and realizing the guy who played Three Finger, the skinny, not-as-dead-as-you-thought cannibal, was in fact Julian Richings, who played Bucky Haight, the skinny, not-as-dead-as-you-thought punk rocker in Hard Core Logo!
