Battlestar Galactica
Dec. 9th, 2003 01:10 pmI was disappointed -- and not just because I waited in vain for a glimpse of Callum Keith Rennie beyond what we've seen in the trailers. I think it was *deeper* than I expected -- more complicated human drama, fewer battles with the Cylons. I wanted some battles, dammit.
That said, I thought the Cylons were great -- I love that some models are human but others still have that red light that goes back and forth and buzzes, and I *especially* like that the Cylon attack ships aren't ships helmed by androids, but intelligent ships. And I'm really liking Mary McDonnell's character -- I foresee interesting times ahead with that one. And I'm sure I'll enjoy the human drama more once i'm not being swamped with backstory.
