I am not formally doing NaBloPoMo, but I'll see if I can manage a daily post during November.

So -- tonight on VH1's something-or-other '80s, someone (Jason Mraz?) said Rock Me Amadeus represented not just classical music, but the "fierce power of synth-pop." Which gave me pause, because -- and I say this as perhaps the greatest partisan of '80s synth-pop you'll ever meet, as well as a huge fan of Falco -- whatever it's about, it's not about *fierce power*.

However, I will forgive VH1 for this, because I just learned that A-Ha is still performing overseas. (My senior year of high school, my best friend and I made a pact that if we didn't get into college we'd follow A-Ha around Europe.)

I also have some disgruntled thoughts about the most recent episode of Heroes, but I will save those for tomorrow.
